I can't remember the last time boyfriend and I got in the car and took a drive. We drove a hour south of Chattanooga to The Red Apple Barn. With just enough time before I had to go to work, we got in the car. Grab the dog! Did you get his leash? I've got the keys! Don't forget the directions! We drove out of the driveway and headed out of town. Fall is in the air and we couldn't miss this. We felt like adventurers, driving through the country and seeing how the simple people live. Naturally, we talked about life again, made fun of Brody, the dog, as he hung out the window, and we all enjoyed the crisp smell of the country. Hayrides, burlap sacks, orchards, dogs off leashes, red barns, and pumpkin patches were our world yesterday and I didn't want to come back home. I had decided to adopt a new home that day, where I would live happily ever after. We were stuck in our own world filled with good conversation, laughter, and yummy apples. This date takes the date victory for us and we've happily added it to our fall traditions.
